Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations through interviews, physical exams, symptom analysis, and medical testing
  • Perform various diagnostic tests, such as exercise tests, cardiac catheterizations, and imaging procedures, including echocardiograms
  • Analyze diagnostic test results and interpret findings to develop an accurate diagnosis
  • Establish treatment goals with patients and create personalized treatment plans
  • Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care
  • Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Refer patients to surgeons or other specialists when required and collaborate on patient care during surgical procedures
  • Advise on and assist with cardiac surgeries as necessary
  • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans accordingly
  • Educate patients and their families on recovery strategies, lifestyle changes, and long-term cardiovascular health management
  • Conduct ongoing research to stay current on advancements in cardiology and apply new findings to improve patient care

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as biology, physical sciences, or pre-med
  • A Medical degree specialization in cardiology with valid state license
  • Participation in continuing medical education and membership in professional organizations is preferred
  • Strong proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • A passion for improving the health and well-being of patients
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with patients and healthcare teams
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Patience, empathy, and sensitivity to the concerns and needs of patients
