Responsibilities
- Adheres to the division’s policies, procedures, and standards while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and ethical requirements.
- Provides comprehensive primary and preventive care to patients of all ages, addressing acute, chronic, and complex medical conditions.
- Promotes health education, disease prevention, and lifestyle modification in line with evidence-based family medicine principles.
- Coordinates patient management through multidisciplinary collaboration, ensuring continuity of care and timely referrals to specialists when required.
- Conducts routine health screenings, vaccinations, and chronic disease management programs in accordance with established guidelines.
- Participates actively in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental meetings to enhance patient safety and service delivery.
- Contributes to education, mentoring, and training of medical staff and supports research or community health initiatives as needed.
- Demonstrates a commitment to compassionate, family-centered care and upholds the highest ethical and professional standards in clinical practice.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills Desired:
- Bachelor of Medicine/MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution or as defined by DOH PQR.
- Certificate of Completion of Specialty Training in Family Medicine recognized by DOH or as defined by DOH PQR.
- Must hold a valid License/Registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment (where applicable).
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience post specialist qualification or as defined by DOH PQR.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience in Family Medicine in a multidisciplinary or primary care setting.
- Prior experience in the UAE or with an internationally accredited healthcare institution.
- Strong focus on preventive care, chronic disease management, and patient education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a holistic approach to family and community health.
