Strategic Talent Acquisition

  • Partners with the HR Director, Medical Directors, and Department Heads to forecast and fulfill physician staffing needs aligned with operational and expansion plans.
  • Develops and implements targeted sourcing and headhunting strategies for medical consultants, specialists, and associates—locally and internationally.
  • Benchmarks physician manpower planning and compensation structures against leading UAE and GCC healthcare providers.
  • Oversees the full recruitment lifecycle—from requisition approval to offer release and onboarding handover—for all physician-level positions.

Regulatory and Compliance

  • Ensures recruitment processes comply with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulations, Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) standards, and hospital policies.
  • Coordinates with Licensing and Credentialing teams to verify candidate eligibility through primary source verification (PSV) and dataflow procedures.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of licensing regulations and accreditation requirements impacting physician recruitment.

Candidate Assessment and Stakeholder Coordination

  • Evaluates physician qualifications, clinical experience, and credential alignment with departmental requirements.
  • Facilitates interview scheduling, medical board discussions, and feedback collection across stakeholders.
  • Advises hiring leaders on market insights, candidate availability, and compensation competitiveness.
  • Prepares and release approved job offers, guiding candidates through pre-employment medicals and onboarding documentation.

Data Management and Reporting

  • Maintains accurate and updated recruitment records, pipelines, and candidate profiles in iFusion or equivalent HR systems.
  • Generates monthly and quarterly reports highlighting key metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Supports talent mapping and succession planning by maintaining an active physician talent database.

Employer Branding and Networking

  • Represents American Hospital Dubai at healthcare job fairs, conferences, and academic partnerships to strengthen the employer brand.
  • Establishes and sustains partnerships with medical universities, residency programs, and professional associations to build future pipelines.

Operational and Administrative Support

  • Provides necessary justification for difficult-to-fill vacancies and salary deviations.
  • Liaises with onboarding and training teams to ensure smooth transition of newly hired physicians.
  • Responds promptly to candidate inquiries and ensure professional communication throughout the recruitment process.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in recruitment or healthcare HR (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, AHRI) preferred.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 6 years of progressive recruitment experience, including 2 years in a senior recruitment role within healthcare.
  • Knowledge of DHA licensing and credentialing frameworks, JCIA standards, and healthcare workforce regulations.
  • Knowledge of physician labor market trends, compensation benchmarks, and specialty distribution within the UAE and GCC.
  • Skills in physician and medical staff recruitment, including sourcing, selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Skills in advanced sourcing, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and global physician headhunting channels.
  • Skills in stakeholder engagement, panel coordination, and physician interview facilitation.
  • Ability to manage multiple physician requisitions simultaneously while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
  • Ability to analyze recruitment metrics, generate reports, and provide insights to leadership.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with senior executives, physicians, and regulatory entities.
  • Ability to coordinate international medical licensing and credentialing procedures effectively and in compliance with DHA and JCIA requirements.
