Job Description

CDA Licensed Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychologist (Bilingual English/Arabic)

Location: Dubai, UAE

Company: The Journey Center for Social and Family Consultancy

Employment Type: Full-time/Part-time

Do you want to shape the future of young minds in Dubai? Are you ready to build programs that blend clinical care with life skills and education? The Journey Center is expanding, and we are seeking a psychologist who thinks big and acts boldly.

Your Role & Impact

You will do more than provide therapy. You will help children and young adults (ages 7–25) develop resilience, acquire essential life skills, and thrive in both academic and personal settings. Here’s what your days could look like:

  • Conduct psychological and psycho-educational assessments for a wide range of challenges, from ADHD and ASD to anxiety and trauma.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans that combine CBT, family systems therapy, and life skills training.
  • Lead hands-on parenting workshops that give families the tools to build healthy, positive relationships.
  • Adapt program curricula to make them culturally relevant and inclusive for Dubai’s diverse community.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, family therapists, teachers, and school counselors to provide holistic care.
  • Consult with schools and community organizations on interventions, IEPs, and special education needs.
  • Design and refine programs, such as life skills training, parental education, and mental health awareness campaigns, to enhance the well-being of individuals and families.
  • Track outcomes and adjust your approach based on feedback and results.

What We Expect From You

These aren’t optional. They’re non-negotiable:

  • You have a PhD/PsyD or Master’s in Clinical, Counseling, or Educational Psychology with a focus on children and adolescents.
  • You are licensed (or finishing your licensure) with the Community Development Authority (CDA) in Dubai.
  • You are fluent in both English and Arabic, spoken and written.
  • You have at least several years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults across a wide range of clinical diagnoses.
  • You have experience liaising with schools, working on IEPs, and adapting educational programs for SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
  • You can design and deliver programs that extend beyond therapy, such as life skills curricula, parenting workshops, and community outreach initiatives.
  • You bring a proven record of successful cases and can discuss your results openly.
  • You possess strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity, enabling you to connect with families from diverse backgrounds effectively.

Nice to Have

  • Eight or more years of consulting or clinical experience.
  • Expertise in group therapy, workshops, or community mental-health programming.
  • A track record of building or scaling innovative youth programs.

How to Apply

If this role resonates with you, we’d love to hear your story. Send your CV and a cover letter to HR@thejourneyuae.com. In your cover letter, please:

  • Confirm your CDA licensing status and bilingual proficiency.
  • Outline your experience with children, adolescents, and young adults in Dubai.
  • Share a case example that illustrates your impact and why you’re the right fit.
  • Let us know how your unique approach will enrich our programs and help shape the next generation.

We believe in diversity, inclusion, and real change. If you share these values, join us in redefining youth development in Dubai.
