Job Description

The Radiographer is responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services across modalities including X-Ray, DEXA (Bone Mineral Density), and Ultrasound. The role requires operating advanced imaging equipment, ensuring accurate and timely scans, maintaining safety standards, and complying with FANR and DHA regulations. The Radiographer will also be responsible for overseeing FANR documentation and contributing to the maintenance of regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general radiography including portable X-rays and trauma imaging.
  • Conducts DEXA scans for bone density assessments with accuracy.
  • Assists in routine ultrasound imaging where applicable (based on license and training).
  • Maintains PACS records and ensures timely reporting in coordination with radiologists.
  • Documents all technical information and patient interactions as per legal and ethical standards.
  • Reports equipment faults and participates in maintenance scheduling.
  • Manages FANR documentation for radiation use, including dose logs, licensing papers, and exposure audits.
  • Attends periodic training and refresher courses related to safety and technology.

Supports and participates in multidisciplinary case reviews when imaging is involve.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Additional training or certification in CT, DEXA or Ultrasound
  • Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience in general radiography
  • DHA Licensed Radiographer
  • Experience with PACS/RIS and EMR systems
  • Familiarity with FANR regulatory compliance and documentation
  • Prior exposure to multi-modality imaging including DEXA and Ultrasound
