Job Description

Oversees the clinical and operational functions of the Computed Tomography (CT) service, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies. Leads quality improvement initiatives, risk assessments, and workflow optimization to maintain high standards of patient care and imaging excellence. Performs and supervises all CT procedures, ensuring proper patient preparation, imaging techniques, and equipment calibration. Mentors and trains CT technologists, enforces safety protocols, and monitors inventory and equipment readiness. Collaborates with radiologists, hospital leadership, and other healthcare professionals is integral to optimizing patient care and procedural efficiency. Engages in professional development, performance improvement programs, and departmental initiatives to support the continuous growth and excellence of the Medical Imaging Department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiography/Radiology Technology or Medical Imaging
  • Active home country registration
  • Dubai Health Authority (DHA) License

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of recent Computed Tomography (CT) experience.
  • Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge and practice of radiation protection and safety measures.
  • Knowledge of positioning techniques and computed tomography protocols to ensure high-quality imaging results.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) or accreditation standards.
  • Skills in effective communication, patient assessment, monitoring, and care.
  • Skills in mentoring and facilitating clinical instruction for onboarding non-licensed CT technologists.
  • Skills in conducting quality control (QC) tests and implementing continuous performance improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy in CT imaging techniques.
  • Ability to manage and oversee clinical and quality aspects of the CT service, ensuring compliance with regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Ability to engage in professional development, continuing education, and training programs.
  • Ability to use IT-based systems such as RIS and EMR for clinical and administrative documentation.
  • Ability to speak and write in English fluently.
