Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the Care Medical Hospitals and Clinics.
- Supervises Admission Office staff regarding compliances with Department policies and procedures.
- Performs all managerial functions of the Unit level as established by management.
- Does all the Finance and Administrative procedures needed regarding admission and discharge of patient from the hospital.
- Monitor approval from companies.
- Prepares all company bills for inpatient.
- Keeps all papers or documents of in-patients who were admitted and discharged from the hospital in special files.
- Work is conducted in a professional manner maintains patients confidentiality when required.
- Gives orientation to newly hired staff on policies and procedures pertaining to work area, eligibility of treatment, and Patient Care System.
- Assures proper on the job training of subordinates. Encourage subordinates for more efficiency.
- Conducts admission/discharge activities to meet standards of the JCI legal requirements and established practices, bylaws and regulations.
- Follows all Departments polices and procedures.
- Acts as Acting Head of Department in the absence of the Head.
- Participates in on-going education program developed by the department, e.g. Departmental Policy and Procedures, Fire Safety, Risk Management, Environmental control.
- Performs other clerical duties inherent to the function relevant to scheduling and receiving of patients.
- Performs additional tasks and duties as assigned by the management

Qualifications:
A minimum of:
- Secondary school certificate
- Five (5) years experience, One year in general office procedure, preferably in a clinic, hospital, or physician’s office and at least four (4) years work experience.
- Experience in Patient Services
- Computer literate (Excel and Word 2000)
- Fluency in written English and Arabic.
- Tact, courtesy and public relations skills are a must.
