Job Description
The Physician Office Coordinator manages the daily operations of a doctor’s office. This role ensures smooth patient flow, maintains accurate medical records, and provides administrative support to the physician, enhancing patient satisfaction and clinic efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments, follow-ups, and procedures.
- Maintain and update patient medical records and documentation.
- Act as a liaison between the physician, patients, and administrative staff.
- Coordinate referrals, lab tests, and diagnostic procedures.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Assist in managing office inventory and supplies.
- Support the physician in administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Healthcare Administration, Medical Office Management, or related field.
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare policies and best practices.
