Job Description

Role Purpose: Identify and manage public relations at internal and external events. Execute PR strategies, manage media relations, write PR copy, plan events, and analyze public opinion to maintain positive public awareness of the company and its brand. The goal is to maintain positive public awareness of the company and its brand.

  • Development and communication of informational programs to maintain favorable public and stakeholder perceptions of the organization accomplishments and agenda.
  • Arrange public appearances, lectures, contests, or exhibits to increase awareness and to promote goodwill.
  • Work with our PR agencies to arrange PR campaigns in all types of media, using interviews, new items and other applications.
  • Prepare and deliver speeches to further public relations objectives.
  • Work under the supervision of the Head of PR & Events to develop plans and execute consistent publicity programs to enhance PR.
  • Respond to requests for information from the media or designate another appropriate spokesperson or information source. Communicates promptly and effectively to requests for response, research, quotes, photos, interviews, and information from media contacts; gathers answers through communication with colleagues, usage of historical/archival material, student contact or outside sources.
  • Working with PR agency to collect, compile and maintain media clip archive; responsible for monitoring all press clippings and information sources for related stories.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with representatives of the media, community, employees, and public interest groups.
  • Assess the prevalent public image of the organization in the local community and recommend and implement action plans to mitigate a positive image of the contribution to the local community and address all issues and negative opinion through outreach programs.
  • Assist in developing community outreach programs and other events that might be required to promote in the local communities.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to deliver PR services around visiting teams and athletes that make use of the facilities.
  • Hosting post-event evaluation meetings, submitting reports to management and review to suppliers.
  • Prepare, implement, report, and analyze results of annual client satisfaction survey.
  • Assume or accept any other responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor within the position role and responsibility.

Minimum 4 to 6 years of related experience of which a minimum of 2 years should be in similar position / responsibility, preferably with similar background. Bachelor’s degree in business administration with specialization in PR and Communications/Marketing/Events or a relevant field. Demonstrated experience in PR management in a specialized field of work. Excellent communication and written skills and able to clearly articulate information in a relevant and engaging manner. Ability to work independently as well as part of cross-functional teams. Good interpersonal skills and able to interact with people of different cultures and backgrounds. Ability to manage multiple projects at a time. Effective team skills. Flexible for situations that arise unexpectedly. Excellent language proficiency in Arabic and English is mandatory.
