Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessment for elective and reconstructive plastic surgery patients.
  • Develop individualized anesthesia plans tailored to cosmetic, reconstructive, and microsurgical procedures.
  • Administer general anesthesia, total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA), and regional anesthesia as indicated.
  • Provide anesthesia support for long-duration aesthetic surgeries (e.g., liposuction, abdominoplasty, facelifts, breast surgery).
  • Maintain strict airway management and patient safety in prone, supine, and complex positioning cases.
  • Monitor and maintain hemodynamic stability, fluid balance, and temperature regulation during prolonged procedures.
  • Manage blood loss and coordinate transfusion strategies when required.
  • Ensure smooth emergence from anesthesia with minimal postoperative complications (nausea, pain, agitation).
  • Provide effective post-operative analgesia including regional blocks and multimodal pain control.
  • Manage perioperative complications in collaboration with surgical and nursing teams.
  • Participate in outpatient pre-anesthesia clinics for aesthetic surgery patients.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, infection control, and plastic surgery protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed anesthesia records.
  • Support day surgery and ambulatory anesthesia pathways for cosmetic procedures.
