Job Description

Responsible for managing assigned patients to the highest attainable standard of care within the available resources of Dallah Hospital. Provides comprehensive support services for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab under the supervision of Consultant Cardiologists.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide essential support services for the care, diagnosis, and treatment of patients undergoing various Cath Lab procedures.
Prepare and set up the Cath Lab, including all required equipment and supplies for left and right heart catheterizations, diagnostic coronary and peripheral angiography, coronary and peripheral interventions, balloon valvuloplasties, EPS, ablations, pacemaker and CRT-D implantations, IVUS, FFR, IFR, rotational atherectomy, Impella support, drug studies, and other specialized procedures.
Test, calibrate, and ensure proper functioning and quality assurance of all equipment used during procedures.
Operate intra-aortic balloon pumps, cardiac output computers, pulse generators, and other required equipment under physician and supervisor direction.
Monitor, document, and record patient vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures; promptly report abnormalities to the physician.
Prepare patients for catheterization procedures, including equipment setup, monitoring evaluation, and surgical site preparation.
Assist physicians during procedures as required.
Perform blood sample analysis, including blood gases, oxygen saturation, hemoglobin, hematocrit, and activated clotting time (ACT).
Administer oxygen therapy under physician direction when indicated.
Perform CPR when required under physician supervision.
Assist in data storage, retrieval, and documentation.
Support physicians in research activities and evaluation of new equipment and products.
Complete required documentation to ensure accurate hospital billing.
Receive, transfer, and manage patients before and after procedures.
Manage inventory and supplies; maintain statistics and reports as requested by the immediate supervisor.
Perform circulating and scrubbing roles during procedures, including medication preparation and administration.
Implement hospital policies and procedures to support standards of care, quality improvement, and performance goals.
Carry out additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or Chief of Cardiac Cath Lab.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Cardiovascular Technology (CVT), BSN, or a related allied health field.
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Technician.
