Description
Job Description
To lead and oversee the integrated facility operations across all Donor Centers (DCs) & HQ, ensuring the highest standards of engineering maintenance, safety compliance, and general service delivery to support seamless plasma collection activities.
Environment
- Internal: all GEPD departments and functions
- External: External contractors and facility service providers, regulatory bodies and safety inspectors, vendors for janitorial and security services.
Key responsibility
- Overall Facility Strategy: Lead the long-term planning for maintenance, safety, and general services to ensure all Donor Centers & HQ run smoothly and meet collection goals.
- Budget Control: Create and manage the annual budgets (CAPEX/OPEX) for all facilities; ensure money is spent wisely and stays within the approved limits.
- Standards & Quality: Set the rules and quality standards for maintaining DCs & HQ buildings, handling all security matters, and managing safety across all locations.
- Contractor Management: Oversee the selection of outside vendors and contractors, making sure they deliver high-quality service as promised in their contracts.
- Safety , Health & Risk Leadership: Own the plan for protecting people and property, ensuring the safety teams are ready for any emergency or risk.
- Performance Tracking: Set clear objectives for the three subfunctions (Safety, General Services, & Facility Maintenance, and monitor their progress to keep improving operations.
- Infrastructure Growth: Direct the setup of new Donor Centers & HQ as applicbale or major upgrades to existing ones, making sure engineering and safety are built-in from the start.
- Audit Accountability: Act as the final person responsible for passing all facility-related audits and keeping all centers legally compliant.
Academic experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
- Project management
- MBA or relevant Post-Graduate degree in Operations Management is highly preferred.
Professional experience required
- 10–12 years of experience in facility management or operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams (Engineers, Safety Professionals, and Logistics/Services).
- Experience in a regulated industry (Pharma, Healthcare, or Manufacturing) is a strong asset.
Computing Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Experience with Facility Management Software (CMMS) or ERP systems.
Personal Skills
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
- Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- High level of organizational and strategic planning ability.
Languages
- Arabic: Native.
- English: Fluent (Professional Working Proficiency).
