Role Description
The Clinical Affairs Director is responsible for the clinical training of obstetricians and their maternity staff, clinical studies management, key opinion leader (KOL) network development and engagement, as well as supporting market development in GCC countries in coordination with distribution companies contracted by MNHI.
This role will oversee and manage the Clinical Training and Medical Affairs functions in the GCC region, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with organizational goals, while building relationships and engaging with KOLs to support establishing OdonAssist™ in obstetric practice and expanding its use.
This role requires skillsets and learning agility in various areas including clinical study monitoring, clinical training of OB/GYNs and their staffs, and close coordination with MNHI’s distribution partners on strategic planning and business development. As the first MNHI clinical staff member in the Middle East, this role requires exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills and a proactive, engaging approach to keep internal teams connected and aligned.
This role reports on a direct line to the VP South Asia and Middle East with a dotted line to the Chief Medical Officer. This is a remote role in the GCC area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Studies and Documentation:
- Plan, initiate, and oversee clinical studies in KSA and the Middle East.
- Ensure studies are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and efficient clinical training and studies.
Data Management and Reporting:
- Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting for clinical and market studies.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Prepare clinical study reports and support publications by collaborating obstetricians.
Training and Development:
- Plan, organise and lead training sessions for maternity centers, teaching hospitals and OBGYN societies.
- Adapt and develop training materials and programs to ensure effective knowledge transfer into the GCC countries.
- Actively engage with global and regional teams, as well as EU trainers to ensure seamless communication and coordination across functions.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and regulatory bodies.
- Represent MNHI at industry conferences and meetings.
- Provide clinical training and support to the distributor sales and clinical teams.
- In co-ordination with distribution companies engage with OB/GYN societies for market development and engage with maternal and child health influencers in GCC countries for framing tender specifications and reimbursement policies.
- Maintain regular interaction with MNHI colleagues worldwide to avoid isolation and keep the wider team informed on regional activities and priorities.
Market Development:
- Identify and pursue business opportunities in GCC countries.
- Develop and implement business strategies to support market expansion.
- Engage with the VP South Asia and Middle East to manage distribution partners including training of distributor sales teams.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all clinical activities comply with local and international regulations.
- Support the Regulatory team for the preparation and submission of regulatory documents to relevant authorities.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., OB/GYN, Nursing, Pharmacy, Life Sciences) a must.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience working in OB/GYN specialty. Experience in clinical marketing desired.
- Preference for candidates with a combination of formal clinical training and business experience or savvy.
- Experience in working with obstetricians including professors who have achieved prominence and coordinating collaborative studies/programs in the Middle East a must.
- Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and guidelines.
- Experience building relationships and network around a project
- Fluency in English and Arabic.

- Experience in managing clinical training, studies and regulatory requirements in the Middle East.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills: ability to engage proactively with global and regional teams to maintain alignment and avoid isolation.
- Excellent communication skills: effective in keeping stakeholders informed and fostering transparency across functions.
- Proactive and self-driven: comfortable working independently, as the lead MNHI team member in the Middle East, while ensuring consistent internal connectivity and team integration.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in clinical data analysis and reporting.
- Clinical and market expertise with capability to influence and shape business strategy.
