Description
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Officer – Quality to join our team at SKMCA. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive experience across all domains of quality management, including policy management, accreditation, patient safety, risk management, performance monitoring and quality improvement. You will play a key role in developing and implementing the Quality and Patient Safety Program, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of excellence and patient safety across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Policy Management:
- Coordinate and support the development, implementation, and monitoring of SKMCA policies and procedures.
- Ensure policies comply with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Facilitate timely review, approval, and communication of policies with relevant stakeholders.
- Accreditation & Certification:
- Support continuous readiness for external accreditation and certification programs. (Experience background preferred JCI, ACHS, CCPS programs, etc)
- Participate in tracer activities, onsite surveys, and follow-up improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with teams to ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation standards.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Team Coordination – Coordinate with internal teams to collect performance data, ensure timely updates, and resolve any data gaps or inconsistencies.
- KPI Profile Management – Maintain and update KPI profiles, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, definitions, and measurement standards.
- Data Collection & Validation – Collect performance data from relevant sources, validate accuracy, and conduct basic analysis to support performance monitoring and reporting.
- Patient Safety Culture:
- Support implementation of SKMCA’s patient safety framework.
- Facilitate safety culture surveys and communicate initiatives across departments.
- Identify and address key areas for improvement based on survey results.
- Quality Improvement Projects:
- Coordinate and support system-wide performance improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate QI projects and educational activities aligned with the QI framework.
- Risk Management:
- Support the development and implementation of an integrated Risk Management Framework.
- Monitor and improve outcomes in areas such as FMEA, incident reporting, sentinel events, case reviews, and peer reviews.
- Participate in system-level taskforces to develop aligned risk management initiatives.
- Strategic & Team Contribution:
- Participate in strategic planning, team meetings, and interdepartmental liaison to achieve department goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in clinical, quality, or relevant health-related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare quality
- Strong knowledge of quality and patient safety regulations, standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Recognized quality certifications (e.g., CPHQ, CPPS, CMQ, or equivalent).
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and computer applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English (Arabic is advantageous but not essential).
- Knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations, and hospital protocols.
