Job Description
Job purpose:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Management Trainee to join our rehabilitation hospital. This entry-level position is designed for an individual passionate about enhancing patient care and safety within a healthcare environment. The successful candidate will participate in a comprehensive training program, gaining in-depth knowledge of our clinical quality standards, patient safety protocols, and healthcare management systems. This role offers invaluable hands-on experience in a compassionate and dynamic setting, allowing you to directly contribute to our commitment to clinical excellence and continuous improvement in patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical quality and patient safety programs.
- Rotate through various clinical and administrative departments to understand the patient care journey and its impact on quality.
- Shadow senior clinical leaders and quality management professionals to learn about healthcare compliance, risk management, and decision-making processes.
- Participate in clinical audits, chart reviews, and data collection to ensure services meet established standards of care and regulatory requirements.
- Document and report on quality and safety events, and assist in conducting root cause analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff, to support continuous improvement projects.
- Support efforts to maintain compliance with healthcare accreditation standards (e.g., The Joint Commission, CARF) and other relevant regulations.
- Help gather and analyze patient satisfaction and outcome data to identify trends and inform quality initiatives.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to develop skills in healthcare quality, patient safety, and leadership.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Nursing, Public Health, a clinical field (e.g., Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy), or a related discipline.
