Requirements

• Valid classification/license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).

• Minimum one year of experience in medical coding using:

◦ ICD-10-CM

◦ CPT

◦ HCPCS

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology with high attention to detail.

• Good understanding of medical billing and insurance requirements.

• Ability to comply with approved policies, regulations, and coding standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records to ensure completeness and accuracy.

• Accurately code diagnoses and medical procedures in accordance with approved coding standards.

• Ensure coded data is compliant with billing systems and insurance requirements.

• Handle insurance rejections and coding-related clarifications in coordination with relevant teams.

• Maintain compliance with quality, governance, and regulatory standards.

Preferred (Optional)

• Experience with healthcare information systems (HIS) or ERP systems.

• Knowledge of NPHIES.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
