Healthpoint, part of the M42 group, is a multi-specialty hospital based in Abu Dhabi. The hospital includes 10 specialty centers: bariatric (weight loss) surgery & weight loss, dentistry, medical specialties, musculoskeletal medicine, pain management & headache, physiotherapy & rehabilitation, plastic surgery & dermatology, pulmonary & sleep medicine, vascular medicine & surgery, & surgical specialties.

Role Overview:

This role is responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of individualized nursing care to Day Surgery Unit / Post-Anesthesia Care Unit patients and their family members according to current best-evidence based standards, using best judgement at all times in alignment with Department of Health (DOH) and organization policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Patient Admission & Discharge: Manage the smooth admission and discharge of patients in the Day Surgery Unit, ensuring all protocols and patient safety standards are met.
• Post-Anesthesia Recovery: Provide expert care to patients recovering from anesthesia in an ambulatory setting, closely monitoring vital signs and responding promptly to any complications.
• Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation usingCernerelectronic medical records system, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Patient Education & Support: Educate patients and their families on post-operative care, discharge instructions, and follow-up procedures to promote optimal recovery.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and coordination.
• Infection Control & Safety: Adhere to strict infection control practices and contribute to a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff.
  

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Experience:

Minimum Of 3 Years Post-qualification Nursing Experience.

Preferably with experience in Day Surgery Unit

License and Certification:

Valid DOH/DHA/MOH license.

Valid BLS, PALS and ACLS.
