Job Description
Responsible of assisting, implementation and leading the development of effective nursing practice systems and processes to ensure that Nursing professional practice standards through SEHA HCFs meet internationally recognized best practice standards.
The Nursing Performance & Excellence (NPE) specialist is expected to provide subject matter expertise, Facilitate, lead and oversee all Nursing departmental tasks / activities related to quality, safety and governance systems and processes and provide the essential support to the organization to plan and achieve their strategic plan.
Key areas of responsibility include but not limited to nursing related quality and patient safety standards of performance (Clinical Performance/Practice & Accreditations), Excellence Programs or Initiatives, Professional Leadership, and Evidence Based Practice, Research and Education.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Quality & Safety: Develop and monitor governance systems, nursing policies, clinical guidelines, and patient safety standards.
Performance Monitoring: Track and report nursing KPIs (JAWDA/SEHA, NDNQI), conduct audits, and analyze safety event trends.
Accreditations & Certifications: Support JCIA, Magnet, Pathway to Excellence, and other international recognition programs.
Excellence Programs: Oversee initiatives like Shared Governance, Nursing Quality Committees, and awards.
Education & Development: Identify training needs, create educational programs, and promote evidence-based practice.
Data & Reporting: Prepare quarterly nursing practice reports, maintain dashboards, and ensure confidentiality.
Collaboration: Liaise with clinical leadership and other departments to enhance nursing quality and patient safety.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing
Minimum 5 years clinical experience + 1 year in nursing performance/practice role
Desired:
Master’s in quality management
Certifications (CPHQ, CMQ, EFQM, Lean Six Sigma)
Experience in JCIA preparation, quality improvement committees
Skills & Competencies
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office and English (Arabic preferred)
Knowledge of quality management tools, clinical performance monitoring, and regulatory standards
