The Registered Nurse – ICU is responsible for providing and maintaining a high standard of individualized nursing care to patients and their family members according to current best-evidence based standards, using best judgement at all times in alignment with Department of Health and organization policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, evidence‑based nursing care to critically ill patients in accordance with ICU standards.
  • Monitor, interpret, and respond to complex clinical data, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
  • Participate in emergency and rapid response interventions, ensuring timely and appropriate escalation.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures safely and accurately.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in the EMR system.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and provide emotional support during critical situations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
  • Valid DOH/DHA/MOH license or DOH eligibility.
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
