SUMMARY
Responsible for delivering high-quality, comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment in a
clinical setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, implementing individualized care plans, and monitoring
patients’ conditions to ensure optimal health outcomes. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a safe
and effective treatment environment while following established protocols and standards of care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.
• Provide total patient care as assigned according to the core standards of patient care and established policies and
evidence-based practices.
• Assume accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care and planning for each patient.
• Contribute to decreasing the stay/waiting time length per unit-specific goals. Works in collaboration with the
Nurse Supervisor and Head Nurse to achieve goals.
• Document all relevant information correctly, appropriately, and in a timely manner.
• Report equipment failures, safety and security issues, and/or reduction of supply inventory to the Nurse
Supervisor or Head Nurse.
• Ensure familiarity with emergency equipment and all emergency operational procedures. Communicate and
regularly review Emergency.
• Document and complete monthly reviews of patient medication profiles. Administer medications as ordered by
the physician.
• Obtain routine and non-routine laboratory tests as ordered and communicate critical lab values and urgent
patient needs to the physician in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate collaborative multi-disciplinary partnerships working towards the achievement of constant
improvement in quality patient care. Acts as an advocate for patients and families.
• Identify ideas that will improve the quality of patient care and issues that will negatively affect patient care
outcomes using the professional practice framework.
• Promote a safe environment and patient care by embracing a safety culture and identifying risk areas to the Nurse
Supervisor or Head Nurse. Complies with policies for personal and patient safety and for preventing healthcareassociated infections.
• Contribute to the achievement of cost-efficiency savings on units. Maintains an awareness of resource utilization,
exercising care in the ordering and using staff, equipment, and materials.
• Contribute to the achievement of clinical quality outcome indicators and patient satisfaction
• Lead unit-based Performance Improvement activities as assigned.
• Participate in new staff orientation to develop competence and performance.
• Assist in maintaining a suitable learning environment and act as a preceptor/mentor in supervising and teaching
nursing students and new staff to develop competence.
• Demonstrate transcultural principles in nursing practice.
• Contribute to special projects/assignments linked to nursing strategic priorities and professional practice models
as assigned.
• Assist in promoting and sharing knowledge via mentorship in line with relevant research and evidence-based
practice.
• Follow all Dialysis Centre-related policies and procedures.
• Participate in self and others’ education, training, and development, as applicable.
• Promote Values of Excellence, Partnership, Inclusion, and Compassion; develop effective relationships at all
levels of the organization.
• Participate in team concepts and promote a team effort; perform duties in accordance with company policies and
procedures.
• Perform other duties or tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
Education Requirements:
Registered Nurse (RN) with Bachelor or High Diploma Degree in Nursing.
Experience Requirements:
Two (2) years of Nursing experience .
Saudi applicants with no experience will be enrolled in new gradute development program
Other Requirements:
Current Registered Nurse Licensure from a country of origin or valid nursing license from Saudi Commission
for Health Specialties.
Certified in BLS from Saudi or American Heart Association and preferably in ACLS
Successfully passed the hemodialysis training program is an advantage.
Passed color vision or color blindness test.
