The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. This role involves continuous patient monitoring, administering complex treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting
• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, including vital signs and response to treatment
• Operate and manage life-support equipment such as ventilators and infusion pumps
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
• Valid DOH/HAAD license or eligibility to obtain one
• Minimum 2-3 years of ICU experience
• Experience with ventilators and critical care equipment
• BLS and ACLS certification
