Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to lead our Occupational Therapy Department. This role requires advanced clinical skills in Sensory Integration, strong leadership abilities, and a deep commitment to child-centered, neurodevelopmental therapy. The successful candidate will provide direct therapy, mentor team members, and guide the department’s clinical direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive sensory assessments to identify sensory processing challenges and develop individualized therapy plans.
- Provide sensory integration therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate with a team of therapists to ensure a holistic, integrated approach to therapy.
- Educate families and caregivers about sensory processing challenges and techniques for managing sensory needs at home, school, and in other settings.
- Maintain detailed documentation of each child’s progress and clinical observation, adjusting therapy goals as needed
- Engage in continuous Professional Development (CPD) is required to keep up with current research and best practices in sensory integration intervention and clinical field.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and other required activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Certification in Sensory Integration Therapy from a recognized program.
- Experience working with individuals with sensory processing disorders or delays, with proficiency in using various therapeutic tools and resources.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Compassionate, heart of collaboration and understanding approach to therapy.
