JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for providing comprehensive critical care services to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Provide advanced critical care management for pediatric patients in the PICU.
  • Perform thorough patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor clinical progress.
  • Manage ventilated patients and provide advanced airway management.
  • Respond promptly to pediatric emergencies and code situations.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including pediatricians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff.
  • Supervise and guide junior medical staff where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
  • Ensure adherence to infection control, patient safety, and accreditation standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Qualifications & Requirements
    • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
    • MD in Pediatric Critical Care / Pediatric Intensive Care.
    • Valid DHA registration as Specialist.
    • Minimum 5 years recent of experience in a PICU setting.
    • Current BLS, PALS, and preferably ACLS certification.
    • Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
