Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and adjustments.
  • Monitor stock levels and maintain adequate inventory to support operational requirements.
  • Conduct cycle counts, periodic stock counts, and annual physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and stock variances.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are properly recorded within the approved ERP system.

Store Operations

  • Receive, inspect, and verify pharmaceutical products, medical consumables, and healthcare supplies.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions in accordance with manufacturer requirements and healthcare regulations.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe medical store environment.
  • Coordinate the issuance and distribution of inventory items to authorized departments and users.
  • Ensure proper handling and movement of inventory within the facility.

Expiry & Inventory Control

  • Monitor expiry dates and implement FEFO (First Expiry First Out) practices.
  • Prepare near-expiry reports and coordinate actions to minimize wastage.
  • Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, and non-moving inventory.
  • Coordinate disposal of expired or damaged items following approved procedures.
  • Support inventory optimization initiatives to improve stock utilization and reduce losses.

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with SFDA, MOH, SCFHS, CBAHI, JCI, and company policies related to inventory management.
  • Maintain complete and accurate inventory documentation.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and infection control requirements.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare periodic inventory reports, variance reports, and stock status updates.
  • Report inventory shortages, stock risks, and compliance concerns to management.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Pharmacy, and Supply Chain teams regarding inventory requirements and replenishment activities.
  • Support demand forecasting and inventory planning activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Valid SCFHS Registration and Professional Classification.
  • Valid professional license where applicable.

Experience

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience in pharmacy stores, inventory management, warehouse operations, or healthcare supply chain is considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical storage requirements and inventory control principles is preferred.
