To provide services to patients for whom he/she is responsible to the highest attainable standard of care within the resources of Dallah Hospital by performing nuclear medicine procedures under supervision of Nuclear Medicine Specialist or Consultant.
To carry out nuclear medicine studies as decided by the Nuclear Medicine Specialist/Consultant.
Responsible for the Nuclear Medicine procedures.
Responsible for the quality control of Gamma Camera and Radiopharmaceuticals.
Demonstrates leadership in the daily workflow of the department.
Authorized to administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients I.V., orally, and subcutaneous/intradermal.
Responsible for the specific assigned tasks within the department as need arises.
Implements and coordinates policies and procedures to achieve the hospital’s goals and objectives in pursuit of standards of care and quality/performance improvement.
Participate in patient and family education to help patients and families better understand and participate in their care and make well-informed care decisions.
Performs any other duties within the range of his/her professional knowledge and skills as directed by the Nuclear Medicine Physician and/or Head of Radiology.
Explain procedures and safety precautions to patients, patient attendants, and family members.
For disposal of radioactive materials and storage of radiopharmaceuticals, always follow radiation safety procedures.
Responsible for ensuring stock availability in the section for daily utilization.
Requirements:
Essential:
Minimum of one year post-graduate practice in Nuclear Medicine in an acute care facility.
Practical experience in nuclear medicine modality.
