Job Description
In this role, you will independently perform high‑quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, interpret findings, and support clinical decision-making. You will work closely with physicians, radiology teams, and multidisciplinary staff, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Perform accurate and high‑quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
- Interpret images using sound analytical judgment to identify normal and abnormal findings.
- Initiate further diagnostic procedures or referrals when necessary.
- Follow departmental and governmental protocols while working independently or within a team.
- Verify patient identification and ensure examinations align with clinical requests.
Communication & Patient Care
- Clearly communicate scan findings to clinicians and patients.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold patient dignity, especially during sensitive procedures.
- Handle basic patient concerns professionally and escalate as needed.
Education & Support
- Train and guide multidisciplinary staff in ultrasound practices.
- Provide support to colleagues regarding wellbeing and professional development.
Operational Responsibilities
- Use clinical IT systems confidently for scheduling, documentation, and reporting.
- Ensure consistent service improvement through strong collaboration with stakeholders.
Other Duties
- Support organizational objectives by performing tasks as assigned.
- Adhere to all policies, legal requirements, and best practices.
- Protect the reputation, confidentiality, and integrity of the organization at all times.
🎓 Qualifications
- Valid UAE Health Authority License (DHA).
- Bachelor’s or Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound/Sonography OR Associate Degree in Sonography + accreditation OR Bachelor’s/Diploma in Radiography + post‑primary qualification in ultrasound.
💼 Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in a hospital or similar clinical setting.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with MS Office and clinical IT systems.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to support junior staff and collaborate effectively with teams.

- Strong problem‑solving skills and adaptability.
